About The Club

Mission Statement

We offer the opportunity to socialise with and be part of a Community, somewhere where the whole family are welcome in a safe and friendly environment.

History of the Club

Meadowbrook Social Club was founded in 1970 as a members only Club situated in the village of Dartington. The Club still remains in its own dedicated building located opposite the Dartington Cider Press Centre. In 2018 it was agreed by the Committee to change the license from a Club Premises Certificate to a Premises License thus enabling the Club, Bar & Kitchen to be used by all.

The Club is run by a group of volunteer Committee Members who hold frequent meetings to ensure the smooth running of the Club. Richard Hughes - 'The Manager' runs the Club, Bar & Kitchen for the Committee and Members in accordance with the agreed Club Rules & By-laws.

Users of the Club

The Club has over 300 full members who use the club to socialise and partake in the many organised events. The club is also used by many local organisations to hold meetings and social activities. Some of the current organisations which use the Club are Meadowbrook Football Club, Ki Akido, Ballet Club, Totnes and District Young Farmers, Totnes Sub Aqua, Silver Churn Country and Western, Totnes Skittles League and Belly Dancers Club.
